As the Santander Portadown branch closes its doors today, Portadown Credit Union would like to remind the local community that we are here to stay. If you LIVE or WORK in Portadown and the surrounding townlands, you are eligible to join too!

Portadown Credit Union also have minor accounts for children under the age of 16. These can be open in office only by a parent/guardian. Full details of what is needed to open a minor account, can be found here.

What are the benefits of being a PCU member?

• Free Insurance on savings: Every pound saved up to the age of 55 and not withdrawn, in the event of your death is doubled. This applies to a maximum savings value of £15,000 and is payable to the person you have specified on your form of nomination. Savings made between the ages of 55 and 70 still receive an insurance premium, but the amount that is applied reduces as the member gets older.
• Free Life insurance on loans- Available to any member who is actively in work or is in good health when the loan is granted. All loans must be paid in full before the member’s 85th birthday.
• Free Death benefit insurance- DBI provides £2,000 towards funeral expenses and is paid directly to the funeral director*

• AXA Insurance discount- up to 15% discount on car and 10% discount on home insurance (+10% discount on home insurance if you have a car insurance policy with AXA)

Adult members can hold up to £15,000 in their savings and save up to £2000 per month.

Minor members can hold up to £5000 in their savings and save up to £250 per month.

🚨 All adult members must pay a £1 affiliation fee annually and hold £10 savings in their account at all times. Once a new account has been created, a deposit of at least £11 must be made by calling (028) 3833 5104 or calling into the office.
