PCU Donates to Reach Mentoring

Portadown Credit Union recently made a donation to Reach Mentoring. Established as a registered charity in October 2014, Reach Mentoring now supports around 900 young people each week across 53 schools. The organisation equips local volunteers to mentor and walk alongside young people aged 9–18 in schools throughout the ABC Council area, as well as in Dungannon and Magherafelt.

Our contribution covered the cost of ten 30-minute one-to-one mentoring sessions for young people in the Portadown area. According to Reach’s most recent data for the 2024/25 school year, in the Portadown area, 253 pupils across 11 schools received mentoring support. By the end of the year, 99.5% of these mentees reported that Reach had helped them in dealing with their challenges.
