Local member volunteers in South Africa

Portadown Credit Union recently made a donation to PCU member Caitlin McGeown who is undertaking 2 weeks unpaid volunteering on the international volunteer HQ (IVHQ) childcare project in Table View, South Africa. Volunteers on the childcare project in South Africa will work alongside a team of local staff, as well as other volunteers, providing care and education for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

In order to partcipate on this program, Caitlin has to pay fees which will cover her accomondation, meals, orientation, program placement, volunteer support services, placement supervision an administration costs of the program therefore we are thrilled our donation can help contribute to these fees.

We have also provided Caitlin and her travel companion with PCU branded tshirts and water bottles from local business NS Screen Prints.

We hope you have the best time in South Africa Caitlin and gain valuable experience.
