A Sweet Send-Off for Gilford PS

Portadown Credit Union is delighted to support the P7 Leavers' Assembly at Gilford Primary School by funding a special visit from local ice cream van, Mr Whippy.

As a community-based financial cooperative, supporting local people and organisations remains at the heart of everything we do. While our Tullylish Branch has closed, our commitment to the Gilford community remains as strong as ever. We want local members and residents to know that we are still here to support them and continue investing in initiatives that make a positive difference across the area.

On Friday 19th June, the P7 pupils of Gilford Primary School will celebrate the end of an important chapter as they prepare to leave primary school and begin their journey into secondary education. To mark this significant milestone, Portadown Credit Union wanted to provide a small treat to help make the day even more memorable.

In the true spirit of community, the ice cream treat wasn't just for the P7 leavers. We were delighted to extend the visit from Mr Whippy to all pupils and staff across the school, giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved scoop and celebrate together.

We would like to congratulate all the P7 pupils on their achievements and wish them every success and happiness as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey.
